On days like today, it is really easy to forget that I have a purpose in teaching. It is really easy to get annoyed. Really easy to get frustrated. Really easy to look for secretary job openings.
However, I am remembering that I get to choose. I get to choose to overcome annoyance and ask God to show me the root of the incredibly large attitude. I get to choose to show grace in the midst of their attitude. And I get to stick it out and remember that tomorrow is a new day, full of mercy and grace from the one that pours it out oh so often to me. I choose to speak life. I choose to be a light in the darkness. And I choose to receive grace when I mess it all up.
the life of a teacher...
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." Proverbs 31:8 & 9

December 2010
I wrote this down after Christmas of 2010. I stand by this and am excited to see how the Lord moves in this area. God is faithful, all the time.
From December of 2010
Every time I watch “The Nativity” my heart starts to pound and I can’t help but hope for my joseph. I want a joseph so badly it hurts sometimes. He is quiet but strong, he knows just what to say to Mary He is so so humble and so aware of the people and the hearts around him. He is gentle and funny, he is her protector and will put her, the baby (Jesus obviously : ), and even the donkey before himself. You can always tell that he loves her with everything in him, even before the angel Gabriel comes to visit him. I am sure that he was not perfect nor was their marriage, but he was the ONE for mary, he was the ONE that she needed... I will wait for MY joseph and he will be perfect for me. Whatever that looks like.

Home Sweet Home
It is no secret that I do not LOVE being a single responsible homeowner... I do however love my home. It is comfy, cute, and perfect for me. It is everything I wanted my first home to be. With the exception of a person missing... I may talk smack about the responsibilities, but I wouldn't trade this quaint little home for anything.

Geek Alert
I still love the dictionary. It is probably because I love words. I love the fact that I can take an idea or a verse that I have heard my ENTIRE life and my heart can be radically changed by simply looking up the actual definition of a word.
Restoration has been on my heart a lot lately. To be completely honest, I am always thinking about restoration and the Father's heart in it. I long to see the day that we are all fully restored in our spirits, our bodies, our relationships, our finances, our families, in every area.
There are just so many people suffering today. All over the world there are hurting people. From Conway to Kansas City to Knoxville to Shreveport to Norman to New Life Ranch to China to Uganda and beyond. They are everywhere and all around us, near and far.
Restore-- to bring back to a former, original, or normal condition. To bring back to a state of health, soundness, or vigor.
In my words: To bring back to the way we were intended to be. How He created us in the beginning.

Believing for fertile wombs.
Before you read any more... THIS POST HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY WOMB. : )
I have lots of friends that are married. I have several friends that already have precious little babes. But I also have several friends that have been having that nasty battle to get pregnant. When this issue came up in my first friends life I thought "man, that sucks." And then the story repeated itself in others lives. It is heartbreaking for them and in turn for me. I am a blessed girl with lots of really amazing friends. And on top of that, they (if they are married) have amazing husbands. (or will have : ) ). Which means, they will make amazing parents together. The second thought was "am I really old enough to be having this conversation?" I quickly realized it has nothing to do with how old I (we) was and everything to do with the one that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Sometimes quite literally. I have already witnessed one sweet friend experience triumph and I am waiting in expectation for it to continue one by one. I am so giddy to see God do His thing I can barely stand it!
The following comes from a Keneth Copeland Prayer for believing for children.
"You have a right to believe God for anything He has promised in His Word. The Word says in Psalms 127:3, “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Psalms 84:11 says, “…no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” Also, Psalms 113:9 says, “He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children….” Exodus 23:26 in The Amplified Bible states, “None shall lose her young by miscarriage or be barren in your land….”
Children are the right of a marriage covenant with God (Deuteronomy 28:11). Based on the Word of God, we set ourselves in agreement with you that you have the desire of your heart, a child of your own. The Lord perfects that which concerns you (Psalms 138:8).
God’s Word is always His will. We have included a prayer and scriptures that we believe will minister to you as you stand on them. As you make these scriptures part of your prayer life, you may be sure that you are praying according to the will of God. “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him” (I John 5:14-15)."
So, dear friends, I stand in faith and believe for multiple children to come out of your wombs and that your husbands will be as fertile as some of my high school boys seam to be!
I love you all.
